How It Works
Our Permanent Magnet Motor is a direct-drive machine, eliminating high failure elements like the gearbox. The PM Halbach array applied creates a strong magnetic field which in turn makes for an efficient and power-dense machine. The machine’s built-in thermal management system also eliminates the need for additional cooling measures.
Why Air Core
Outside of the great electrification benefits, the Air Core technology can significantly reduce motor weight making for optimized fuel usage during flight. Novel integration of Hinetics’ air cooling schemes also helps to reduce motor cooling costs.
